As of March 1, 2015, VHS & Audio Cassette Tapes are no longer accepted for donations. |

- This is the largest facility in the Jefferson Parish Library system; opened in March 1997, with public art and landscaping. It is the site of largest reference collection in the system.
- The Special Collections room on the second floor of the library includes Louisiana and genealogy materials.
- Story hours for children and other programming for adults, teens, and children are offered.
- Public computers with Internet access are available in the Reference wing, the Adult/Young Adult wing, the Children's wing, and the Special Collections room; free WiFi access.
- A large collection of audiovisual materials is available for borrowing.
- The meeting room can hold up to 200 people and is available for public meetings at a nominal charge. It can be divided into two rooms for smaller meetings.
The Jane O'Brien Chatelain West Bank Regional Library, opened in 1990, is the largest public library on the West Bank. It is 35,000 square feet and houses fiction and nonfiction books, magazines, microfilm, videocassettes, and books on tape. The library contains a wide variety of fiction, nonfiction, and reference materials to meet the recreational and educational needs of the community. Materials not available on site can be ordered from other libraries within the Jefferson Parish Library system. Interlibrary loan services are also available.
The Reference area has been recently renovated and contains an extensive collection of reference materials, including computers with Internet access, word processing, and other software; online magazine and newspaper indexes; microfilm; Louisiana and general business resources; black history and other student resources; free WiFi access. Reference services are available during all the hours the library is open.
The Special Collections Room contains the genealogy collection (materials useful in tracing your family roots), Louisiana public documents, and the Louisiana collection (information about Louisiana, Jefferson Parish, and books written by Louisiana authors). The materials in this room include books, microfilms, and CD-ROMs. There are computers, microfilm reader-printers, and a copier available.
The Children's Department contains easy books for young children, juvenile fiction and nonfiction for older children, children's audio and videotapes, and a computer with a variety of software for children as well as Internet access.
- Grand Isle Library is a small library responding to the needs of Grand Isle's residents and tourists.
- The brand new Grand Isle Library opened on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The official Grand Opening was on Thursday, December 13, 2012.
- The new Gretna Library opened March 17, 2010. It's more than 5,800 sq. ft. with a 1,000-square-foot meeting room that fits 58 people. The collection of 15,000 items includes 7,200 items from the temporary facility donated by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2007.
- Gretna Library has 10 public access computers, with shared seating for 16 people. There is also free wireless internet and 27 spots for library users to plug in their laptops.
- The library has study tables and lounge seating for 35 people. Two booths are set aside especially for teens. Schools ranging from pre-kindergarten through high school use the library.
The Gretna Library is located in Jefferson Parish's historical parish seat. It has been in its present location in picturesque Garden Park since 1968.

- Harahan Library, the first library built by the parish, opened in 1957 under librarian Celia Moore. It is the oldest library in the system.
- The Harahan Branch Library includes a video collection.
It is a quaint neighborhood branch located on Soniat Avenue behind the Tastee Donuts shop across Jefferson Hwy from St. Rita's Catholic Church and School.
The Harahan Branch Library may be reached by public transportation via the Kenner Local Bus.

Located at 1000 West Esplanade between Bonnabel and Lake Avenues
- Visitors to the reopened Live Oak Library will immediately notice a customer-oriented interim layout and an expanded number of public access computers, more than double those available pre-Katrina.
- An exciting new feature is the addition of a DVD section.
- Free WiFi access has been added, and other design improvements to enhance the user’s experience are planned.
- Live Oak Library serves four elementary schools and one junior high school.
Located at 125 Acadia Dr. off River Road in Waggaman, Live Oak Library is set among a grove of huge oak trees over 100 years old in Thomas Jefferson Park. The library, which opened in 1989, was designed in the style of an Acadian-style cottage.

A Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 11:00am, to celebrate the re-opening of the newly renovated North Kenner Library, 630 West Esplanade Avenue, in Kenner.

The Old Metairie Library is conveniently located at 2350 Metairie Road in the heart of Old Metairie, between Causeway and Bonnabel Boulevards.

A Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:00am, to celebrate the opening of the newly built River Ridge Library, 8825 Jefferson Highway in River Ridge.

Meeting room with a capacity of 34 people is available for public use.

The library was originally the site of a Greek revival house, circa 1833, named Rosedale. In 1978, two fires destroyed the 140 year old home. The library was established in 1986.
Rosedale Library is located on Jefferson Highway, next to Riverdale Middle and High schools.
- The Terrytown Branch of Jefferson Parish Library first opened its doors October 9, 1974. Its location across the street from Terrytown Playground, near Terrytown Elementary, and sharing a parking lot with the Terrytown Golden Age Center makes it an important part of the neighborhood it serves.
- Terrytown Library closed for renovations in December, 2009. With funds from riverboat gaming provided by Councilman Chris Roberts - District 1, and other donations, the 5,600-square-foot library reopened September 8, 2010, with a redesigned and more modern floor plan, a new main entrance, 21 new computers, a special area just for teens, a new reading area for adults, a larger Spanish-language collection, new handicapped-accessible restrooms, and more face-out shelving.
Terrytown Library is located across from the Terrytown Playground on Heritage Avenue. The branch is heavily used by local elementary and junior high school students who enjoy our computers.
